Our StoryEden's Echo Farmstead

Eden’s Echo Farmstead was never part of the original plan. What began as a deeply personal life reset became something far more meaningful than we ever imagined.

Like many families, we were living the busy life. We had successful careers, a beautiful home, and all the things that were supposed to feel like success. But in the middle of the constant motion, something was missing. We were moving fast but not always present, and we knew something needed to change.

Everything came to a halt in 2019 when our family faced a serious health crisis. After months of unanswered questions and nearly 169 doctor visits, we discovered undetected Lyme disease was at the root of the illness. That reason was frightening, humbling, and life-changing. It forced us to slow down, reevaluate our priorities, and lean fully on our faith.

Through that journey, we began learning about gut health, clean living, and the impact of toxins in everyday products. We started replacing items in our own home with more natural, non-toxic alternatives. What began as a personal healing journey quietly planted the seeds for what Eden’s Echo Farmstead would become.

“Eden’s Echo Farmstead wasn’t born out of a business plan.
It started as a life reset.”
From City Life to Farm Life

As healing came, so did clarity. We felt called to pursue a slower, more intentional way of living. We stepped away from the constant busyness and began building a new life from the ground up.

With a lot of prayer, research, mentors, and more than a few mistakes along the way, we transitioned from city life to farm life. We learned to raise animals, build fencing, milk goats, and grow in ways we never expected. What started with a simple dream of gathering fresh eggs in the morning quickly grew into something bigger.

At first, we simply wanted our daughter to see where things come from. We began making goat milk products and our now-famous candied pecans to sell at local farmers markets. The response from the community was overwhelming. We sold out again and again, and that is when we realized this might be more than just a hobby.

“We learned the hard way that success doesn’t matter if you don’t have time with the people you love.”
    Small Batch. Big Heart.

Today, Eden’s Echo Farmstead remains rooted in the same principles that started it all.

Every product we create is made in small batches so we can maintain the level of care, quality control, and ingredient integrity our customers deserve. Many of our most loved items, including our natural laundry detergent and non-toxic cleaners, were originally developed for our own home during our healing journey. Our stores have grown, but our heart has not changed.

“Small batch means we can focus on what matters most… quality, ingredients, and the families we serve.”
      More Than a Store

Our long-term vision has always been bigger than products on a shelf.

We want every Eden’s Echo location to feel like home. A place where you are greeted like family. A place that is peaceful, welcoming, and refreshingly non-corporate. A place where people can find better-for-you products, encouragement, and genuine connection.

This journey strengthened our faith in ways we never expected. We truly believe God used a difficult reason to reshape our family’s purpose and open doors we never could have planned ourselves.

Today, our definition of success looks very different. It means staying close as a family. Following the doors God opens. Serving our community well. And using this farmstead to touch lives in whatever way we are called to.

We are so grateful you are here and part of the story.

Meet the FamilyThe Heart Behind Eden’s Echo

Eden’s Echo Farmstead was founded by Trent and Jackie Nichols after a life-changing health journey reshaped their priorities, strengthened their faith, and inspired them to build something meaningful together as a family. What started as a desire to slow down became a calling to create products and spaces that reflect faith, wellness, and intentional living.
      Trent Nichols

      Co-Founder

Trent brings the entrepreneurial vision behind Eden’s Echo Farmstead. After years in a fast-paced sales career, a serious health crisis forced him to reevaluate what success truly meant. That reason led him to focus on clean living, ingredient awareness, and building businesses that allow time for what matters most.

Today, Trent leads product development, business growth, and long-term vision while still embracing the daily rhythms of farm life. From tech entrepreneur to farm builder, he helped build much of the farm with his own hands and continues to dream big about what comes next.

Fun fact: Trent went from city business life to raising goats, building barns, and creating small-batch products inspired by his family’s healing journey.

      Jackie Nichols

      Co-Founder

Jackie is the steady foundation and heart of Eden’s Echo. As a nurse, wife, and mother, she walked through the uncertainty of the family’s health crisis with strength and faith. Her medical background and commitment to wellness played a major role in shaping the ingredient-focused standards Eden’s Echo is known for today.

Jackie helps guide operations, product integrity, and the warm, welcoming culture found in every store. She believes in creating spaces where customers feel like family and where faith remains central.

Fun fact: Jackie balances farm life, business leadership, and nursing while keeping the entire operation grounded and focused.

      Kennedy Nichols

      Chief Farm Helper

Kennedy has grown up alongside Eden’s Echo Farmstead. From helping at farmers markets to caring for animals and even creating her own treats, she represents the next generation of the farmstead dream.

Her love for the animals and excitement about farm life were part of the inspiration that helped spark this journey in the first place.

Favorite farm friends: The dogs and her horse, Poppy.

Our Journey to Eden’s EchoFrom a dream rooted in faith and family to a growing farmstead and country store, here’s how it all unfolded.

      2019
      A Wake-Up Call

After nearly 20 years in sales, life took an unexpected turn. A sudden and severe illness left doctors searching for answers. For a season, the future felt uncertain.

It became a turning point that would ultimately change everything.

      2020
      Healing & A New Direction

The mystery was finally solved: undetected Lyme disease.

That diagnosis sparked a complete lifestyle transformation. The family began focusing on gut health, removing toxins, and simplifying their lives. Healing became the priority physically, mentally, and spiritually.

To create flexibility and space for recovery, digital marketing agencies and a software company were launched. This allowed more time with family and the ability to rebuild life with intention.

      2020-2023
      Adventures That Changed Them

During this season, the family lived on the move together as Jackie accepted travel nursing contracts. They packed up their home and relocated from assignment to assignment, experiencing life in places like the DC area, Illinois, and Virginia. Each stop brought new lessons, new rhythms, and a deeper understanding of what mattered most.

In 2022, Kennedy began homeschooling, allowing education to travel with them. Those years sparked a realization. They wanted more than city life. They wanted land. Simplicity. Purpose. Something they could build together.

      September 2023
      The Farm Begins

They left the city of Marana, Arizona and purchased land in Saint David, AZ. With their home packed into a U-Haul and the next chapter ahead of them, the journey toward farm life officially began.

      September 2023
      Building The Farm

The property in Saint David was purchased with a home already on the land, but everything else would need to be built. What started as open ground slowly began transforming into a working farm.

Fences went up, buildings were built, animals arrived, and the foundation of Eden’s Echo Farmstead began to take shape.

      March 2024
      The First Products

To teach Kennedy about business and responsibility, we began selling goat milk soap and candied pecans at the local farmers market.

What started as a lesson quickly became something much bigger.

      May 2024
      The First Store

The first small retail store opened in Saint David, the same town as the farm.

It was modest, simple, and filled with heart.

      October 2024
      Growth in Benson

The business moved into a larger location in Benson, Arizona. With more space and a growing customer base, expansion accelerated.

New products were introduced, community events were hosted, partnerships with local charities were formed, and team members were hired. What started as a family project was becoming something much bigger.

      November 2025
      Full Circle

A second retail location opened in Marana, the city where so much of their journey began.

Bringing the story full circle was deeply meaningful. The response was overwhelming. The community welcomed the store, and growth continued.

Between the stores, farmhands, managers, and product makers, Eden’s Echo grew to a team of around 15 people, with plans for future expansion and franchising.

Sometimes life isn’t about leaving places. It’s about growing enough to return with something new to give.

      March 2026
      Expanding the Mission

The ecommerce store launched, marking a shift toward national branding.

The content and mission are built around four pillars:

      Faith. Family. Farm. Products.

      Everything created reflects those foundations.
